About Us

Play a Pete Dye Course in Brazil, Indiana!

Our golf course is located in Forest Park.

Forest Park is a beautiful place to bring your family for picnic, a swim party, a game of tennis, basketball, softball, baseball and of course GOLF!

Forest Park Golf Course is located just south of the intersection of State Road 59 and State Highway 40 (the Old National Road) in historic Brazil.

If golf is what you are coming here for, you are coming to the right place. The Pete Dye designed golf course is a special place to play. Tree lined in places, wide open in others, you will have a chance to make a good score, but only if you are putting well. We have made several new improvements to our facility in the last several years.

A few of those include:

  • New clubhouse (opened in 1998)
  • a new walk-up scoreboard (2000)
  • continued improvements to our practice facility (including building of a new tee, sand trap, yellow distance markers and improvement of the turf) (2004-05 & ongoing)
  • "natural areas" which protect the natural environment, and cut down on maintenance costs, and they along with some newly-installed cross-ties add to that "Pete Dye" look. (2005)
  • addition of new landscaping on two, five, and seven. (2004)
  • new sand traps on hole seven, and elsewhere. (2005)
  • new tree plantings on one, eight, seventeen, eighteen and several other places throughout the course  (2005 & on yearly basis)
  • brick welcome sign and flower planter at back of nine green (2004)
  • a concrete parking and cart staging area beside eighteen green (2004)
  • ongoing improvements to the condition of the fairways. (2004 & beyond)

We have an excellent program for juniors, and have a regular Monday night league, which is open to golfers of all skill levels. Golf lessons are available with Golf Pro Mark Rogers. Daily games are played and we have an active ladies league. The practice facilities are free and open to to the public. The Dr Hal Glidden Shelter is available to the golfers and is used for outings and daily players.

Forest Park is a city owned golf course. Season passes are available for all ages and for families.Passes may be purchased at the pro shop as well as daily green fee and cart fees.

A Little About Us:

Forest Park Golf Course exists for one purpose:  The enjoyment of the game.  Everything we do here is to make sure that you have a great golf experience.  From the friendly staff when you first arrive, to club pro Mark Rogers giving you a little extra pointer.  All of it leads to the best game of golf you can have.

Our grounds crew takes pride in maintaining our course and keeping it in top shape, so your last hole of the day is just as nice as the first.

The snack bar staff knows that if you're just stopping in for a cold drink or hot dog at the turn, you don't have a lot of time.  They are fast, yet courteous.  When your round is over, a friendly smile is right there behind the counter to greet you as you cool down and talk to your playing buddies about that great putt you made.

Have a tournament or corporate you want to hold?  Golf is an excellent way to bring your team together through a little friendly competition, so be sure to ask about holding your event at Forest Park.
