Junior Golf at Forest Park Golf Course
Some upcoming junior events for 2009
Golf Camps:
Camps include instruction, snacks and drinks during break time, pool party / pizza party, and special camp t-shirt.
JUNE 8TH-10TH Pee Wee Golf Camp (Ages 5-9 years old) Tuesday thru Thursday 1-3:30 (Pool party to be scheduled later.) Price 40.00. (sibling discount—35.00) Instruction provided by Golf Pro Mark Rogers and staff.
June 15th – 17th Golf Camp for Juniors (Ages 10-16) Tuesday thru Thursday 1-3:30 (Pool party to be scheduled later.) Price 40.00. (sibling discount—35.00) Instruction provided by Golf Pro Mark Rogers and staff.
July 6th – 9th High School Girls Golf Camp – 9:00 to 3:00 except the 9th when they travel to the Legends in Franklin, Indiana. Camp includes instruction with Golf Professional Mark Rogers and North view Girls Golf Coach Josh Trout and special guests.
Junior League:
Junior league starts at 1:00 Tuesday June 9th. For boys and girls able to walk and play nine holes on their own. (Parent may accompany if you want). Some instruction on a limited basis. No charge except for green fees. Players will be split into teams and scores tabulated throughout summer. Plaques at the end of the year for winning team.
Golf Tournaments:
The Brazil Open – June 27th & 28th Open to Juniors ages 12-18 Cost is 25.00 and includes lunch on Sunday and trophies for winners. Sleeve of Titleist golf balls for early entry.
The Club Championship – Probably July 18th and 19th—Open to all Juniors with a Forest Park yearly golf pass.
The Breakfast Optimist of Club County Brazil Open Junior Golf Tournament- Monday July 13th cost 20.00 includes great lunch, goody bag, all day snacks, and pizza and pool party (family and friends . Good field from all over the state. Cost 20.00.
Middle School Golf Team “Birdie Fest” Par 3 Scramble!!—Fundraiser scramble !! – June 7th … More info to come!!
Individual Golf Instruction:
Individual golf lessons are available with Master Golf Professional Mark Rogers (PGA, USGTF, TPI) Mark has given golf lessons professionally for several years. He has successfully worked with junior golfers and adults in both groups and individual lessons. He has directed golf camps for juniors and clinics for area school groups and field trips. Playing lessons and lesson series are available.
Mark is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Professional and golf fitness and strength training can be incorporated into golf instruction. He can customize your own golf training program (incorporating golf lessons, fitness training, and practice schedules) for you or your junior golfer.

Practice Facilities:
We have a practice golf range balls come in two sizes (medium 3.00, large 5.00) or you may purchase a range pass for unlimited range balls for 100.00. There is a practice sand trap beside the practice tee for sand bunker practice.
We also have a practice putting green to refine your chipping and putting strokes.
At Craig Park on the west side of Brazil, a six hole practice course will be available July 1st for practicing short pitch and chip shots.
School teams:
The Northview High School Boys and Girls Golf teams practice and play matches at Forest Park Golf Course.
The North Clay Middle School Golf Team (club team sanctioned by school, sponsored by Mark Rogers and FPGC) plays and practices at Forest Park Golf Course.
